Do NOT dismiss the power of this film.

This film is already a history-making documentary.

In New Zealand earlier this year, the film helped CHANGE the DIRECTION on legislation of e-cigarettes with combined efforts from Dr. Marewa Glover and the team at Aotearoa Vape Community Advocacy (AVCA).

MUCH More Than A Film

The Village of Hartland, Wisconsin is challenging the deeming rules set by the Food & Drug Administration for not coordinating with the Hartland government.

Both the film and Director Aaron Biebert’s testimony are on public record from the hearings and are headed to Washington.

Health aspects of e-cigarettes – Short information for physicians

dr

Dr. Mayer has released this statement informing physicians about the health aspects of e-cigarettes.

“Plasma levels of toxic substances…substantially decrease” and are “identical to the levels of non-smokers…”

“From a medical point of view, individuals who switched from smoking to the consumption of e-cigarettes have to be classified as non-smokers.”

berndmayer

Dr. Mayer’s document is found here:

Health aspects of e-cigarettes – short information for physicians

Dr. Mayer’s website is here: bernd-mayer.com

To reduce the risks of smoking, physicians need proper information to rely on and relay to their patients. E-cigarettes are another way to reduce or eliminate smoking.

The worldwide claim of professionals “not knowing” the risks of e-cigarettes has come to a close.

There’s no reason for physicians to dismiss e-cigarettes or less harm to patients.

Coordination with the FDA: Hartland, Wisconsin Holds Public Hearings

fraud

Imagine

Imagine for a moment that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has overstepped their authority in “deeming” anything to do with e-cigarettes.

Imagine there’s a little-known process used to challenge regulations imposed when the federal authority, by law, did not coordinate with state and local municipalities.

Now, imagine there’s a small town in the United States willing to take it upon themselves to challenge the authority having jurisdiction over these regulations.

Imagine.

The Village of Hartland, Wisconsin has done just that. They have hosted three days of public hearings and testimony of what is called “coordination” with Hearing Officer Fred Kelly Grant, Esq. at the helm.

The Electronic Vaping Coalition of America (EVCA) has explained what “coordination” is here.

WHAT IS “COORDINATION” IN FEDERAL LAW?

Three days of testimony

Testimony in Hartland was presented by Cory Winston, Azim Chowdhury, Shaun Casey, Antonio Lauria, Lou Ritter, Jeff Stier, Aaron Biebert, Johnson Creek Vapor Company, Bill Godshall and more.

Imagine

Imagine the businesses who are going out of business.

Imagine the health implications of the imposed regulations by the FDA and the organizations who have supported them.

Imagine the person who walks into a vape shop and can’t be helped properly, if the vape shop will even exist within the next year.

Now imagine taking the time to listen, to ask questions, stand UP, question the lack of integrity and frankly, DO something.

Imagine saying enough is enough.

Divine Intervention: A Deal With The Devil

devil

Place your trust in public health officials. They are the clergy, you are the congregation.

Only they know the way to help you stop smoking. Do it their way and no one gets hurt. This is nothing less than helping smokers quit. It’s what they do.

They have resources and unlimited educations with tenure (and offerings in the plate) to find the best information to help you.

They know what is good for them you. They would never, ever steer you wrong. There’s no doubt in their minds they want the best for you for their cause. Nothing but the best is good enough for you, sinner.

Only they, with their infinite wisdom, provide divine intervention.

How dare you think for yourself. Get your hymnal, heathen, stop whispering during the service. There is no room for non-believers. Please be thoughtful and have your soul ready for processing.

If you fail, it is your fault, sinner. Try again, get down on your knees. Beg for mercy. You didn’t mean it. Lead yourself not into the forbidden smoking area den of inequity.

Get back up off your knees. Try again. Beg their forgiveness. They have apps. Methods. Do it their way. Sinner. Have faith. Raise your ashtrays high above your heads. You must take the solemn vows of tobacco control.

Stop impugning their holy efforts and do not question them when they withhold information.

Their ethics are pure.

Going To The Chapel

They look like good people and organizations.

tobacco control money.JPG

They’re nicely dressed. Big words. Fancy initials before and after their names. Nice clean collars, well fed, well bred and full of sermons.

That’s your Sunday best? That’s what you wore to church the cult meeting?

Ugh, Here’s your hymnal. Find a pew, pay attention and be quiet. Stop chewing your gum.

Authority and righteousness is not to be challenged.

Drink the blood kool-aid

communion

You can keep sinning, they get your sin tax. Try to stop smoking. Go ahead I dare you, they get repeat customers quitting their way.

You just can’t resist temptation, can you? They see you clutching your lighter, you evil sinner. Try as you may to repent, you don’t have it in you. Didn’t you slap the blood patch on your arm as a badge of honor or taste the snake oil gum as it was offered to you?

You must truly believe. You must have faith. Without it, These tools are ineffective and have no real value (to you). Without family and support with counseling and a quit plan (along with an all hail tobacco control) these methods will fail you at an average of 93%.

Don’t lose hope, they’re going to save you, sinner, with their Divine intervention.

If you continue smoking despite the advice from the deacons of tobacco control, it’s a good deal for the devil.

Stop disappointing them. There are other methods that will bring you  – yes, redemption, like

Nausea, Depression, Suicidal thoughts and more…Too bad for you, but – they are, after all, collecting souls.

Feel better yet?

No Sleeping During The Sermon

They are set and ready, designed to enlighten you. Stay alert during the service. What do you know, you’re a sinner. Practice what they preach. They want your undivided attention and commitment to them and their word. Listen carefully!

Here’s one preaching to the choir from the Sistine Chapel pulpit:

00

Baptism bapt.jpg

They, after all, are the experts. You haven’t brushed up on the tobacco control bible, have you? They keep praying and preaching about nicotine, but nicotine is not addictive.

To further their agenda (and the greater good), they have lied about nicotine for years.

nicotine-wow

Wash away those sins. Aren’t you looking for redemption?

Remember

Not all nicotine is the same, you immoral heathen.

The holy water of tobacco control has blessed the magical pharmaceutical nicotine, and then there is nicotine after 2007.

Shaving horns

This is a startling insight to the teachings of the fringe of the gospel according to Tobacco Control:

Via Michael Siegel (bold & underlining is my emphasis):

Importantly, only one perspective on this issue was presented to us in the trainings. There was no room for disagreement or challenge. These ideas were presented as scientific facts, not subject to debate. In fact, if we were to challenge the ideas, the implication was that we – ourselves – might be accused of working for Big Tobacco or receiving secret payoffs.

The most prominent and dogmatic idea presented to us was that “The debate is over.” There is no room for questioning of the link between secondhand smoke and chronic disease. Anyone who challenges that link or suggests that it is being exaggerated must therefore be a front for the tobacco industry. No reasonable person – acting of their own accord – would challenge this undebatable science.

That is explained here:

Yet, research is ignored. Falsified. Construed.

There is a U.S. Federal Policy on Research Misconduct.

Research misconduct is defined as fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism in proposing, performing, or reviewing research, or in reporting research results.

  • Fabrication is making up data or results and recording or reporting them.
  • Falsification is manipulating research materials, equipment, or processes, or changing or omitting data or results such that the research is not accurately represented in the research record.3
  • Plagiarism is the appropriation of another person’s ideas, processes, results, or words without giving appropriate credit.
  • Research misconduct does not include honest error or differences of opinion.

Why Are U.S. Health Officials Ignoring U.K. Colleagues about E-Cigs?

Findings of Research Misconduct

A finding of research misconduct requires that:

  • There be a significant departure from accepted practices of the relevant research community; and
  • The misconduct be committed intentionally, or knowingly, or recklessly; and
  • The allegation be proven by a preponderance of evidence.

Deliver us from evil.

When will they be held accountable?

devil2

Never.

They are men and women of the tobacco control cloth holding secret dances and parties you’re never going to be privy to. Governments turn a blind eye. There is no room for disagreement or challenge to those who otherwise would be brave enough to try, as Dr. Seigel pointed out above.

The Pope, Deacons, Preachers and choirboys and girls of the tobacco control church have worked hard to bring you a quality service.

They have bought and sold your soul – over and again – for billions in job security with handshakes, nods of approval and back room deals to save their eternal organizational souls.

See ya next Sunday, wear something nice.

Doctors tell smokers: Switch to e-cigs

doctors2

With more than 560 physicians surveyed, over 70% “indicated that e-cigs can help patients reduce or eliminate smoking” and “almost half believe they can reduce risk” according to a new survey by Andrew Nickels, M.D. called “Majority of US doctors discussing electronic cigarettes with their patients”.

Patients in the United States have been inundated with bias information and opinions by health officials with false or manipulated data. Physicians MUST take an active role to understand the difference between combustible tobacco and e-cigs to advise their patients correctly.

This is not the first survey to ask professionals what they thought about vaping products. Participation was significantly lower in a survey I conducted with 84 professionals – but the consensus was very similar.

  • 85% said they are safer than combustible cigarettes.
  • 77% will tell patients an e-cigarette is an option.
  • 63% would definitely recommend e-cigarettes
  • 17% are cautious
  • 6% would never recommend e-cigarettes.

If you’re interested, that survey is here

Fail, Fail Again: The stop smoking motto:

bible

Organizations that are representing themselves as “stop smoking” services all say the same thing. “Keep trying“.

Physicians are well aware of failure rates as high as 93% with nicotine patch and gums, and multiple risks are involved for patients with prescriptions like the once “black-boxed” (now irresponsibly removed) Chantix and other medications.

Now it seems they are listening to successes of some patients and passing on the knowledge they gain, “anecdotal” or not, to others.

Success isn’t hard to find

success

Success is glaringly obvious in surveys of vapers where “79% had completely quit smoking cigarettes” (here)  and 42% stopped in one day – 75% stopped within a month  here.

What about addiction to nicotine?

nicotine

All health organizations falsely portray “nicotine” as “addictive”, a worn out and common “misdiagnosis” from folks who should know better, and is rarely questioned.

Pharmaceutical companies certainly are an ambitious lot – they created the “nicotine is addictive” myth out of thin air along with anti-smoking zealots to sell products. Stanton Glantz supports the pharmaceutical companies and makes things up as he goes along, and gets paid to do so.

Without tobacco and the accompanying MAOI’s and ingredients added to cigarettes, nicotine itself is not addictive, in humans, without it.

If the data contradict the theory, throw out the data

Public health organizations and government sing the same song:

The global public health establishment now dances to the tunes the pharmaceuticals play:
  1. Increase tobacco taxes to make the price of the pharmaceutical products more competitive with tobacco products.
  2. Demonize the tobacco industry and prohibit the advertising of their products.
  3. Enact smoking bans to force smokers either to attempt to give up smoking using the pharmaceuticals’ products or to use “nicotine replacement” products as substitutes for when they cannot smoke.
  4. Promote smoking cessation and “treatment” for nicotine addiction.
  5. Promote full coverage for treatment of nicotine addiction by public and private health insurers.
All these strategies are guaranteed to increase the pharmaceuticals’ profits.

That and much more can be found in “Big Drug’s Nicotine War” By Wanda Hamilton

I haven’t been shut up yet. I am looking forward to it.

What is long term?

At this point, professionals in the U.S. who claim they “do not know enough” or don’t know the “long term effects” are unacceptable and unprofessional.

What is your definition of a long-term study?

We know long term

research2

Dr. Cranfield explains the health effects of users over three years.

Users showed a 96% reduction in adverse health problems by users of three or more years. Conditions such as heart disease, high blood pressure and asthma improved by 61.8%

Conditions such as heart disease, high blood pressure and asthma improved by 61.8% of those diagnosed with those health issues while they smoked.

His study is here:

Health Effects and Demographics of Electronic E-cigarette Users. A Comparison Health Events in Previous Smokers with Three or More Years of Electronic E-cigarette Experience

Are there risks involved?

doctors4

Yes. Of course there are. Nothing is risk-free. In comparison to combustible tobacco, e-cigarettes are about MUCH less risk. MUCH less harm.

Leading the world to less harm in the case of e-cigarettes, less risk, is Cardiologist Konstantinos E Farsalinos

He has plenty of studies here.

He talks about them on his blog here:

Ecigarette-Research.Org

Implications of manipulation

manipulation.jpg

What are implications to withholding information from those who need it?

There’s no reason to ignore e-cigarettes, or less harm, to patients (or the public). When science and facts are ignored, people will still take advice to use the patch, gum and other “traditional” methods. When those methods fail, they will still use combustible tobacco. They will continue to smoke – because facts about e-cigarettes were ignored.

Withholding differential risk information on legal consumer nicotine/tobacco products: The public health ethics of health information quarantines

THIS

is what is on a street from the Leicester Stop Smoking Service in Leicester, England.

sign

Leicester Stop Smoking Service:

• Ecigs don’t contain the tar and carbon monoxide that lit cigarettes do, and are therefore much safer than smoking

• There is no evidence that ecigs are encouraging people to go back to smoking, in fact the opposite is true; seeing people use ecigs seems to encourage others to consider switching to a safer alternative

That is here.

They are STILL ignoring e-cigarettes in the United States here:

And here:

Study Confirms Health Advantages of Vaping – Why do U.S. officials insist on obscuring them?

Professionals DO exist

doctors

M.O.V.E. is “Medical Organizations supporting Vaping and Electronic cigarettes”.

Medical Professionals Support Vaping And Electronic Cigarettes:

Denial of scientific evidence is unethical, wrong for public health.

The organization states:

“the use of electronic cigarettes clearly has huge potential to help many smokers turn their backs on tobacco.”

Focusing their attention squarely on e-cigarettes, they have a simple position on other cessation methods, stating “Unfortunately, currently available smoking cessation medications have limited efficacy and acceptability for the majority of smokers”.

(That article is here)

According to the M.O.V.E. Website:

  • It is the combustion of tobacco and the 4000 chemical substances that are produced when smoking cigarettes that are harmful to health of smokers, not the nicotine.

  • The dangers of electronic cigarettes are considerably lower than those of tobacco. From analysis of the constituents of e-cigarette vapour, e-cigarettes can be expected to be at least 95 to 99% safer than smoking tobacco cigarettes in terms of long-term health risks.

If you are in the medical, research or scientific fields…Doctors, Nurses, E.M.T.’s Physicians Assistants, Researchers, Dentists, Psychologists and more are members.

Final thoughts

The potential to reduce combustible tobacco with the use of e-cigs is being fought for, and against, and is here to stay.

The public must have the opportunity to choose a less harmful product with much lower risk and obvious benefit and hear professional views derived from research and science. They are confronting their doctors. They are trying to gain insight from who they trust.

While attitudes abroad look at research and less risk, health “organizations” in the U.S.A. are still insisting they don’t know enough. This has to stop.

Top Ten reasons you shouldn’t try an e-cigarette

screaming.JPG

Please remain seated.

E-cigarettes are dangerous. More research is needed.  They are not regulated. They’ve got flavors. They are enticing children to smoke. They’ve got chemicals. There are even scary words like formaldehyde.

You may even decide you’ll smoke and vape (and there’s no sense in that).

Smokers, keep those ashtrays front and center. Don’t toss your lighters out. Don’t talk to vapers. Do not, under any circumstances try any vaping products.

They’re just like cigarettes. We need more time.

In the interim, please continue smoking.

Agencies –  government, private sector, non and not for profit, healthcare and public health officials (especially) just aren’t doing enough to keep you informed. I’m here to inspire them to try harder.

I’ll admit I can’t bear to see them struggle any longer, I certainly don’t want anyone feeling left out of the loop. I felt it was high time to help ’em out, ’cause I’m a nice guy.

As a public service announcement, I wanted to make sure you’ve been thoroughly convinced not to try an e-cigarette.

Redundant Reiteration

They’ve lost some of their oomph (the first time I’ve proudly blogged the word oomph!). Their tactics are unbecoming professionals, and the same tiring stories are on auto-pilot. In the spirit of hearing themselves repeat different versions of the same thing, so am I.

gif drums.gif

I’ve decided to to rehash some of their stupidity in the risk of being repetitive, repetitious or repeating my own damn self in this handy-dandy reference guide below.

#10. You’re a struggler.

“They” claim there are plenty of government approved methods, but you need a plan. An app. Take a walk. Stop enjoying yourself. Slip, trip and fall fail. It’s expected. You’re going to keep trying to quit their way.

They appreciate the fact that your first attempt will be JUST as frustrating just as your 20th try –  don’t disappoint them. Use every method.

Wait a minute,  what about the success rates for these approved methods? It’s probably just as well if you hold your questions until the end of the list, and keep in mind, don’t ask question authority (covered in #8).

It’s called tobacco control for a reason. Spend more time listening to them.

The Real Story Behind the Nicotine Patch and Smoking Cessation

A quick reference between FDA Smoking cessation drugs and their side effects.

#9. You are a patriot

Don’t you love your country?

On July 1, 1862, the United States Congress passed excise taxes on many items including tobacco. This occurred as a result of the Union’s increasing debt during the American Civil War and the Federal government’s need for additional revenue.

Cigarette taxes in the United States

#8. You don’t respect authority

I don’t understand the troubles with listening to the same thing over and over and over. Don’t question authority. Do as you’re told.

#7. GUILT, the gift that keeps on giving

Guilt is self explanatory, but if you need some – I’ve got it.

guilt.jpg

They’ve been focusing on children so much I don’t believe you haven’t had your daily dose of guilt. You can listen to them scream at you here, here, here and if you haven’t had enough, go here  as well.

#6. Formaldehyde.

#5. Dangers!

From your lungs to – well – your lungs – there are dangers. You’re already smoking. Esteemed experts seem to possibly agree that there may – might – could – be dangers in e-cigarettes worse than combustible tobacco. Try to hold your *gasp* in!

Let me repeat that… wait – I know why they’re slacking off on the weekends, this is difficult to do!

I want to make sure you’re really scared so I added this scary sign. Hope it helps.

Electronic nicotine delivery systems: overheating, fires and explosions

#4. Long term studies are needed

The longer you wait, the more you may smoke. I hope this makes sense. They are depending on you.

Wait until you’ve exhausted all efforts to try e-cigarettes. Let someone else be the lab rat. Cigarettes are familiar and comforting to you (see #10; You’re a struggler).

wibblephrases

“Can’t find it” eh?

Long Term Health Effects

What is your definition of a long-term study?

#3. Think of the children™

This one’s self explanatory. You SHOULD think of the children. You are less than exemplary if you don’t. If e-cigarettes are luring children to smoke, why not just restrict them and keep cigarettes available.

1267px-Lewis_Hine,_Newsies_smoking_at_Skeeter's_Branch,_St._Louis,_1910

If you’re still smoking, keep them where your kids (or anyone’s kids) can swipe your cigarettes, keeping the tradition of smoking alive.

#2. NICOTINE

Almost to the point of toxicity, this needs to keep being said. Addiction! Addiction! Addiction!!!  It can’t be any of the other thousands of chemicals in your manufactured tobacco, so rest assured, e-cigarettes have some crazy foreign nicotine. You should only use approved nicotine methods (See #10, struggler).

Controlling tobacco roads – paved with g̶o̶o̶d̶ intentions

hell

Health officials, politicians and distinguished “experts” have, with all intents and purposes, descended into subliminal tobacco promotion – pro bono. Nice work! Despite fictitious and contrived positions against tobacco, they have consumed themselves by demonizing e-cigarettes.

The tobacco companies didn’t have to ask. The pharmaceutical companies sit quietly on standby. Healthcare organizations are dancing in the streets – still bleeding from loss of revenue. Government officials can barely contain themselves.

By design, tobacco control and anti-tobacco are promoting the consumption and continued use of cigarettes by both not saying a word and perpetuating fake news.

They’ve become the largest single advertiser – denying, downplaying, discouraging and ignoring facts to consumers about vaping products.

eyechart

If less tobacco use is the collective goal, they would have intervened and promoted the 79% success rate of e-cigarettes LONG ago. Instead, they violate the blind trust of the public by manipulation of facts with their opinions. They want revenue.

Nothing says “please keep smoking” like leading consumers to believe high profile doctors like Dr. Oz with his latest, or Dr. Margaret Quomo’s claim that “e-cigarettes will raise your risk for lung cancer but also other cancers, like liver cancer”.

Other delusions of grandeur like “nicotine is highly addictive”, “oral health“, formaldehyde-gate, Popcorn-lung-gate, particulate matters and the ever popular gateway-gate are still standard operating procedure to keep doubt and control of the intent of public perception.

These are professionals with standards?

Against All Odds, the U.S. Tobacco Industry Is Rolling in Money

Deny, Deny, Deny

This please keep smoking advertisement comes from Senator Markey saying the “e-cig industry should be put out of business“.

Please, think of the children.

Scare the public with your faux authority, Ed. That leaves the choice obvious for consumers, Ed. Ban the safer alternative, keep smoking as the intent – you can see how Massachusetts needs smokers for the money.

Who’s left behind?

hell-2

See the smokers looking to switch in the rear view mirror?

To deviate from facts readily available to support a safer alternative to smoking is to act, with malice in promoting smoking and cigarette sales. Period.

The tragedy – since National Tobacco Day, nicotine is now “tobacco”, is that the public has to ACCEPT their definition of nicotine as tobacco, and in doing so, taxes will be, and already are, the norm. That is their intention.

In that, they get what they want either way, and the cost will be in line with – or higher than cigarettes. Think five years down the road. Legislators asking for the farm by passing insane tax measures – like in Pennsylvania.

They’ve done this before.

We are obviously getting louder and harder to avoid.

The “Senate Co-Sponsorship Memoranda” introduced by Senator Camera Bartolotta does mention Public Health England and Royal College of Physicians.

Then – the guilty as charged get what they want (funding, balanced budgets) by appeasing – and “lowering the bar” while their intention is manipulating us into believing or having to accept the fact that consumers, smokers who may want to switch, are getting a “good deal”.

They’re not doing a very good job of trying to fight us.

Smokers quit smoking with e-cigarettes. I’m here to help.

cigarettes-chainsSmokers, you can quit smoking with e-cigarettes. Stop look for assistance from the Heart, Lung & Cancer Associations. They can’t trouble themselves to find ‘enough’ research -claiming they ‘don’t know enough’ -but are promoting regulations, resisting at any cost.

The United States government isn’t helping with their drawn out, unjustified process of regulations of vaping products.

I’m enraged witnessing the deliberate and conscious neglect from the public health sector denying less harm. Instead they insist you use the same “approved methods” that fail 93% of the time. Meanwhile, they claim they “don’t know enough” about vaping products.

That isn’t highly professional. They’ve been around more than ten years.  Wouldn’t they pursue knowing enough if they want to “help you” stop smoking? I think not.

I can do a better job than they won’t.

They are willfully withholding information from the public.

I have decided I must do it for them – and feel like I’m running out of time.

They are aiming at the wrong thing for the wrong reasons. They know why.

target

I find myself needing to focus on the estimated 40 million smokers in the United States. Then, only those who want to stop smoking but are afraid to try e-cigarettes. While waiting on, and in despair of outrageous regulations they can’t afford to comply with, vape shops are closing around you. Yes, you.

I’m challenging myself to concentrate on those who are wanting to stop/quit/switch (I’ll get to that switch in a minute). I’m looking for the smoker who can’t breathe. I’m searching for those who have tried everything else to stop and simply can’t.

I’ve been in those shoes. I tried to quit numerous times like most who try for various reasons. Patches and gums didn’t work. I finally quit trying to quit smoking – and as most do, resided to be a lifelong smoker.

While trying to find  a way to not quit smoking, I surprised the hell out of myself. I didn’t lose my professional smoker status! Suddenly, I found e-cigarettes accidentally.

Keep smoking if you like. I want smokers to understand I’m not a reformed smoker and understand personal choice. I understand from this source that 77% of smokers don’t want to quit. I want you to know you have a choice.

I now also understand I need your help. I need you all to be pissed off. Tell your friends and relatives. Sharing is caring.

You must know

What is imperative in your journey towards success. Remember, the government won’t tell you – and public health doesn’t know enough!

You must use a taste you like, the strength of nicotine for your “throat hit” is paramount –  (smoke full flavor = higher nicotine strength – if you smoke lights/ultra-lights = lower nicotine strength) – & backups.

You do not need an expensive setup right away.

You must know

You can smoke and vape. In fact, I encourage it. “Dual-use“.

You must understand

Nicotine is not addictive. I know – relax. You’ve had it repeated to you over and again. Wikipedia’s definition of that is:

“Proof by assertion”, sometimes informally referred to as proof by repeated assertion, is an informal fallacy in which a proposition is repeatedly restated regardless of contradiction.

Richard Marx: Hold on to the tweet.

richard-marx-feeling-douchey

It seems Richard Marx has something to say to his fans about smoking and vaping. Marx, an iconic 80’s singer who filled the airwaves with hits like “Don’t Mean Nothing”, “Endless Summer Nights” and the ever popular “Hold On to the Nights”. Richard has a new single titled “Last Thing I Wanted”. The “last thing I wanted” was for Marx to pretend he’s an expert.

The explanation on Wikipedia does not mention that he’s a tobacco harm reduction expert. I however did notice he’s done some nice things along with benefit concerts for foundations, including the American Cancer Society on his biography page.

richard-marx-aca

That makes me suspicious. Are they calling you to do their dirty work? Are you that important?

Either way – it must not be common knowledge, but if you’re an ’80’s pop icon you evidently have the right to be a judgemental prick. He decided he would give his thoughts on smoking and vaping with an aggressive and condescending tone as if he knew what he was singing about on his twitter account.

Dick had another hit back then called “Should’ve Known Better” (really).

richard marx douchey only.JPG

That statement is

Unacceptable.

Period.

In this instance below – after seeing Dick’s tweet, I thought – huh – maybe he “doesn’t know any better”. Far be it for ME to try to correct a celebrity, or an expert of any kind.

I’m like Geraldo Rivera, I try to engage with thoughtful tweets

(I’m VapingIT, SPE) by asking the TOUGH questions:

NO response. I know he did. I’ve seen videos. I was a fan.

The “Last Thing I Wanted” was for him to misinform his followers with a sad attempt at stupidity.

He gave “advice” to Donna’s response as if he were an expert.

I tweeted at Donna… thinking – he can’t be that stupid. .

At times, I’m – shall I say – clever and thought – to further catch Dick’s attention – I’d use the title of his new song and hope his alleged 100,000 followers would see the much more pertinent video from A Billion Lives in the process. You know, engage him.

Then, to be SURE he wasn’t confused, I tweeted this thoughtful and deep tweet.

He didn’t feed into my bad behavior. (Behaviour for you across the pond.) Although not with me specifically, Dick engaged with a few comments with a few twitter members who are vapers, and blocked.

Updated 01/22/017: Richard deleted this tweet:

richard-marx-jukka

But the text still shows up on my blog:

Ouch.

I’m not sure if Robert (below) is a vaper, but he explains why Dick was having trouble briefly here:

People love 2 believe what’s convenient 4 them“, Dick.

Some think Dick may have realized the error of his ways….for smokers and possible future vapers.

Stop being an idiot, Dick. If you want to learn about vaping products, I’ll be “Right Here Waiting For You”.

America: Settling for less to reduce smoking.

smoking-image-yahoo-free-to-share-use

If you’re an American looking to reduce smoking, stop settling for less. Quickly step away from the paid advertisements from the pharmaceutical companies to fund the rigorous and glorified “fight” against tobacco by your friendly neighborhood cessation counselors.

Stop settling for less. Stop dialing quit lines, delete your “free” app. Stop paying attention  to a well organized bunch of morons.

Forget everything you’ve heard, learned and been told to ~swallow~ by anyone in authority. Stop feeding into their substandard propaganda.

The general public doesn’t seem to understand the battle waged by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA), various public health organizations and other distinguished experts in anti-tobacco and tobacco control.

“They” evidently, don’t understand it themselves. They LOVE fake news.

They’re playing a game.

With your lives.

Don’t let them fool you, “They” do completely understand. If less tobacco use were the ONLY goal, they’d be pounding vaping products through brick walls to get people to stop smoking.

If they had balls, they’d be standing up and screaming at the idiots who are saying e-cigarettes are the same as smoking. They’re so busy fighting the tobacco companies – they forgot how to interact with real human beings.

They’re busy worrying about funding for their organizations. They’re too busy keeping tobacco in the forefront instead of letting it die a slow sun-baked death in the field by itself. Without a lot of work.

Wait, then they’d be out of work. “They” have become common criminals.

“They” have no incentive (funding, income, research grants etc.) to reduce tobacco, so they lie about things like nicotine. Formaldehyde. Popcorn Lung. They sit idly by and watch, make things up, and refuse to speak. They use fairy tales about children.

All the while, you’re still contemplating your decision to reduce or eliminate tobacco from your life, while they claim expertise.

They only know how to control. Yet, they’re out of control. They want you to believe the ineffective methods are the only way to reduce or eliminate tobacco –  for you, and – if you combine that with counseling, you’re sure to be one of the approximately 3-7% who succeed. If not, you haven’t been trying hard enough.

Why are you settling for less? Because “they” say so?

The public does not understand what they may be settling for when it comes to tobacco harm reduction in the United States.

Here’s what you really need to know if you’re struggling with tobacco.

This, courtesy & via The Vaper is another way consumers, without professional ties to industry, are helping each other and smokers thinking of switching to a much less harmful alternative.

E-cig tips for smokers who want to switch

E-cigarettes were invented, & are continuously being improved, by companies that don’t sell cigarettes.

Although big tobacco companies now own or produce several types of basic e-cigarettes, the e-cigarettes sold by non-tobacco companies are far more satisfying and come in many delicious flavors.

Both Public Health England and the Royal College of Physicians have recommended that e-cigarettes be widely promoted to smokers – they estimate that e-cigarettes are at most 5% as dangerous as smoking.

The majority of the health benefits offered by e-cigarettes come down to the fact that e-cigarettes deliver nicotine in a vapor rather than as smoke. It is the smoke that makes smoking most harmful, like heavy smog or smoke from a house fire, tobacco smoke contains at least 60 carcinogenic chemicals. While carcinogens have been detected in some e-cigarette flavorings, it is typically at levels hundreds of times lower than in tobacco smoke.

There is no evidence that nicotine in low doses is dangerous, nor is there evidence that nicotine by itself (when not ingested as part of a combusted product like a cigarette) is carcinogenic. In fact, nicotine has been approved for sale to children 12 & older, over the counter, as nicotine patches and gum. Further, when separated from the complex mix of chemicals in tobacco smoke, nicotine has not proven nearly as addictive as cigarette smoke. Many people who use e-cigarettes gradually lower their nicotine concentration with no noticeable negative effects, and no cigarette craving.

E-cigarettes have already helped millions of smokers to stop smoking. A lot of their success comes down to the fact that they not only replace the nicotine of conventional cigarettes, but also the ‘action’ of smoking, which many ex-smokers using patches & gum miss and which leads to them relapsing to smoking. E-cigarette use by young smokers has caused smoking among youth to fall at an unprecedented rate.

For sensible advice & guidance when looking into buying an e-cigarette, trust mostly the advice from the following sources:

  • Experienced staff at a dedicated e-cigarette shop, or ‘vape’ shop as we call them. These folks are typically ex-smokers/current vapers themselves.
  • Other vapers who have given up smoking. Vapers commonly love helping other smokers to give up, and love sharing their experience to help them get a satisfying flavor & strength of e-liquid, as well a refillable, adjustable ‘vape pen’ or ‘mod’ to transform that e-liquid into the vapor to be inhaled.

Taking up vaping might seem a little daunting, so it’s helpful to use an experienced person to help you find the combination that works best for you. But once a new vaper has found that ‘sweet combination’ that works for them, it is simply the most enjoyable, easy & effective way to cease smoking.

Nothing is safer than breathing fresh mountain air, but if a smoker cannot give up cigarettes using more conventional methods or therapies, e-cigarettes might just be the thing that allows you to break the smoking habit completely, and permanently.

E-cigarettes: Healthier for you, no threat to bystanders at all.

Millions of us, like The Vaper and I, are not allowing you to “settle” for the same tired, drawn out processes the people in “control” would like you to endure. After all, it is mostly a made up game with players from every aspect of tobacco control. Here’s a bit about how your “addiction” came about via Rampant Antismoking:

“The antismoking bandwagon gained considerable momentum in the five years following the EPA report, prior to the Osteen ruling. Also important is that in the early 1990’s the pharmaceutical cartel and pharma-philanthropy (e.g., Robert Woods Johnson Foundation http://www.rwjf.org/pr/product.jsp?ia=143&id=14912) weighed into the circumstance.

The WHO formally partnered with the pharmaceutical cartel in antismoking (http://www.who.int/inf-pr-1999/en/pr99-04.html) Also, “The American Medical Association, Chicago, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), Princeton, N.J., planned, organized and conducted the 11th World Conference on Tobacco OR Health, which was held in August 2000.” – http://www.rwjf.org/programareas/resources/product.jsp?id=17719&pid=1141

Seizing the opportunity for the sale of essentially useless ‘nicotine replacement therapy’ (NRT) if smokers are progressively pressured to quit, the pharmaceutical interests provided more and more funding and momentum to the antismoking bandwagon. So, despite the Osteen ruling, by the late-1990’s antismoking had become a frenzy. Antismokers, through long-time corrupt conduct, dictated all proceedings and antismoking was awash with funding. The march continued towards fulfilling the Godber Blueprint.”

lie-goebells

Wikipedia:

Proof by assertion, sometimes informally referred to as proof by repeated assertion, is an informal fallacy in which a proposition is repeatedly restated regardless of contradiction.[1] Sometimes, this may be repeated until challenges dry up, at which point it is asserted as fact due to its not being contradicted (argumentum ad nauseam).[2] In other cases, its repetition may be cited as evidence of its truth, in a variant of the appeal to authority or appeal to belief fallacies.[citation needed]

In its extreme form, it can also be a form of brainwashing.[1]

If the goal is “less harm”, take them to task, ask “them” why this is acceptable to “reduce harm”, yet vaping products are not.

Pie1.JPG

Take this to heart. If vaping products didn’t work, I would NOT tell you they do with a 79% success rate. Question EVERY “authority” placing doubt in your mind, and do not take “because we said so” as an excuse for them to be condescending because of your curiosity,  or allow them to question your integrity.

Question theirs, ask them why they haven’t educated themselves enough to be much more informative, why they would continue to embarrass themselves, and don’t settle for anything less. Hold them to their own “high standards”.

“They”, after all, are a business.
